Meet the Innovators is a government backed IC tomorrow innovation project. Designed as a networking event it will bring publishers together with some of the UK’s most innovative developers and start-ups to discuss new digital business products and services. Run in conjunction with the Independent Publishers Guild, the session will take place from 11am to 1pm prior to the IPG ‘Meet the Buyers’ session on Thursday 30 June at BMA House, Tavistock Square, London.
It will feature presentations from some of the finalists in the publishing category in the recent IC tomorrow Digital Innovation Contest. The winners of the contest were each awarded grants of £10,000 to part-fund consumer trials as part of the wider IC tomorrow project. The presentations will include:
- the streaming audiobooks subscription service Bardowl (www.bardowl.com)
- text mining innovator Idio with its Remix Your Textbooks concept (www.idioplatform.com)
- educational social gaming solutions provider Curatr (www.curatr.co.uk)
- and interactive authoring tool AppWalker (www.appwalker.com).
